Marcella (Marcie) Irene Cunningham, 88 passed from this life on the morning of April 16th, 2013 at Edgewater Retirement Community in West Des Moines. Her body was cremated and the family asks that you join them for a memorial service on Saturday, April 20th at 11:00 AM at the Sinnott-Pierschbacher Funeral Home at 9 2nd Avenue in Albia, IA with Father Mike Volkmer C.PP.S officiating. Marcie was born on December 28th, 1924 in Adair, IA to Alice and Dan (Waldron) Breen. She married Dr. D.W. Cunningham and they made their home in Albia for over 50 years. Marcie graduated from Indian Hills Community College with a degree in nursing and she enjoyed spending times with her family. She had one daughter, Kathryn Marie Billings of West Des Moines, IA, and raised three other children, Charlie Cunningham of Springfield, MO, Howard Cunningham of Tulsa, OK, and Bill Phipps of Des Moines, IA.
