Joseph T. Dolan

Joseph T. Dolan, 99 of Fort Washington formerly of Philadelphia, died Friday in the Brandywine Senior Living at Dresher Estates. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Michael and Sarah (nee Owens) Dolan. Mr. Dolan married Elva M. (nee Murphy) in 1942. He served in the Army during WWII from 1941 to 1946. Joseph was an Insurance Agent, employed by Sun Life Insurance Company until his retirement in 1979. Mr. Dolan was a member of St. Alphonsus, The American Legion and formally of St. Martin of Tours Church. He was an avid Phillies fan and enjoyed golf. Joseph was the devoted father of Michael J. Dolan and his wife Kathleen of Philadelphia and Thomas F. Dolan and his wife Rosalie of Fort Washington. He was the loving grandfather of Paul Dolan of Manhattan, Jennifer (Charles) Breznicky of Glenside, Emily (Sara Bushner) Dolan of Conshohocken and great grandfather of Ariana Larwa of Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife Elva in 2002, grandchildren Michael J. Dolan Jr. and Maureen E. Dolan and siblings Mary T. Dolan and James M. Dolan.
