DAVID HALLER MUSCATINE, Iowa - David William Haller, 53, of Muscatine, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Nic Hendriks from Mulford Evangelical Free Church will officiate. Honorary bearers will be Destiny Reid, Diana Cardona, Ruthie Haller, Da Shaun Williams, David Estell, Caleb Estell, Jacob Estell, and Myana Williams. Casket bearers will be Hunter Haller, Cory Haller, Kevin Haller, Wayne Lanfier, Bill Kieckhaefer, and Richard Townsend. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, May 3, 2013, from 4 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Mary Haller. David was born on September 21, 1959, in Muscatine, the son of Elmer Eugene and Ruth Starkweather Haller. He married Mary Schwartz on January 18, 1980 in Muscatine. Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Mary Haller of Muscatine; one son, Hunter Haller of Muscatine; three daughters, Carrie Reid and husband, John, of Muscatine, Ashley Dale and husband, Chuck, of Muscatine, and Kelly Haller and significant other, Lawrence, of Muscatine; eight grandchildren; and three brothers, Paul Haller and wife, Sally, of Muscatine, Chris Haller and wife, Melanie, of Moline, Illinois, and Dan Haller of Rhode Island. David was preceded in death by his parents and his step-father, Richard Kleindolph.
