er the years participated in choirs and as a soloist at many churches and events. She served as Choir Director at Country Palms RV Park in San Juan, Texas and at First Congregational Church in Forest City. She became a member of First Congregational Church in September, 1967 and was an active member throughout the remainder of her life. Lois served as Moderator, Church Clerk, Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, Bible School Leader, and President of Women's Fellowship. When something needed to be done, she was there, and shared what she had. For a number of years, she worked as a Nurse's Aide and Homemaker, serving the elderly in the community. Lois was greatly loved and will be missed by all whose lives she touched. She is survived by a daughter, Karen (Eugene) Engebretson of Minneapolis, MN; sons, Ray Allen (Peggy) Turner of Rockwell City, IA, Loren (Lisa) Turner of Jefferson, IA, Daryl (GayLynn) Turner of Iron River, WI, and Alan Turner of Palatka, FL; grandchildren, Steven Engebretson, Michael Lauritsen, Jennifer Utley, Kevin Turner, Chase Turner and Paige Turner; great-grandchildren, Stephanie and Joshua Engebretson, Zachary, Caleb and Abigail Utley, Mikayla Lauritsen, Dimitry Eresov and Khole Turner; great-great-grandchild, McKenzie Eresov; and her brother, Raphael Becvar. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her parents; a sister; a brother; an infant daughter; and a grandson. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials in Lois's name be made to Greene County Medical Center Foundation in Jefferson, or to the family.
