Christofer Robin Dennis, 18, passed away at his home on Tuesday night, May 7, with his family by his side. Chris was a 2013 graduate of South West High School and was given his diploma personally by the Superintendent of Schools and the Principal in a special ceremony in April of this year. He was an amazing young man with a love for Star Wars and Top Gear that was unparalleled and a smile that would light up any room that he entered. Chris was a Jedi Master at countless video games and engaged in debates with his classmates about who had the best skills. Besides his unquantifiable love for his family, Chris loved the Mets (even more than the packers), Dove Bars, Macaroni and Cheese, Darth Vader, the Aioli Sauce at Not By Bread Alone (he couldn't sample that enough) but most of all, he loved his cousins Ben and Andrey from California. Chris touched so many people around the world as his story became known about his challenges around Autism, Neurofibromatosis and Cancer. He was the bravest, most determined young man who never complained about his own personal struggles in life but rather taught all of those who knew him to be stronger and kinder human beings. s parents, Val and Leigh (Woolley) Dennis; a sister, Emily Dennis; grandmother, Joan Woolley; aunt, Eileen (Woolley) Brooker; uncle, Joel Samuels; cousins, Ben and Andrey Brooker (his best friends in the world); his dear friend, Cory Winstead; grandparents, Josephine and John Dennis and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, from 1:00 pm until the memorial service at 2:00 pm.
