Horace Kendrick Goff, 88, Plantation, FL / North Truro, Cape Cod, MA - Horace Kendrick "Kenny Goff" passed away very peacefully at home with family in Plantation, FL on Tuesday, May 14, 2013. Kenny was born in Attleboro, MA on August 17, 1924. He was the son of Horace Kendrick Goff, Sr. and Beatrice Ann Lacey. Kenny was the oldest of 9 children. He is survived by his brother Richard, of Norfolk, VA, as well as his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Kenny was raised and educated in Pawtucket, RI. He worked for the Providence Braid Company in Providence, RI as a Machine Operator before entering the Service. He was inducted into the US Naval Service on May 11, 1943 and entered into active duty on May 14, 1943. Kenny was on Omaha Beach in Normandy with his fellow Servicemen on D-Day. While serving his country Kenny earned The World War II Victory Medal, the American Theatre Ribbon, the Asiatic Pacific Theatre Ribbon and the European African Middle Eastern Ribbon. ugh his entire life. He continued to paint up until the time of his death. Kenny was also the Caretaker/Manager of the Seaside Inn Condominiums in North Truro up until the time of his death. A remarkable man, he is known for his unconditional love, strong work ethic, independent nature, love of flowers, love of puzzles, love of fishing, love of family and friends and his feisty good nature. Most of all he had a big heart and anyone who met him never forgot him. Kenny touched many hearts and will be missed very, very much.
