Erma Ohnemus, 92, of Milo passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Home in Indianola. Erma was born to Battista & Teresa (Fini) Logli in Melcher, Iowa on December 17, 1920. She received her education from Melcher High School graduating in 1939. On February 19, 1944 Erma was united in marriage to Flavain Ohnemus at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Melcher. He preceded her in death on February 23, 2001. Erma spent many Wednesday mornings with her "Coffee Girls" at the Milo City Hall. She and her friends started a quilting group in Milo that she dearly loved. Erma also enjoyed gardening, bird watching and having friends over for dinners at her home. She was devoted to her family and friends and would always put others thoughts and feelings ahead of hers. Erma was especially proud of her Italian Heritage. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Milo and their Alter & Rosary Society. o siblings: Louise Schneider of Knoxville and Renaldo (Marge) Logli of Des Moines. She is also survived by many members of the Ohnemus and Logli families reaching out many generations and all the friends that Erma shared her life with. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Flavain Ohnemus, three sisters: Louisa Logli, Mary Logli, Dena Gehringer and a brother, Bartolomeo Logli. Funeral mass will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 18, 2013 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Fr. Ray McHenry officiating. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the funeral with a Rosary at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary's of Rosemount Cemetery in Milo.
