Mary Katherine Erpelding

Mary Katherine Erpelding was born January 18, 1931, in Whittemore, daughter of George and Leona (Fandel) Streit. She grew up in Whittemore graduating from Presentation Academy in 1948. Mary Katherine was married to Marvin C. Erpelding on October 23, 1951, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Whittemore. They raised their family and farmed southeast of Whittemore for 55 years. She loved being with her family and enjoyed sewing, baking, embroidery work, and working in her flower garden. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, the Rosary Society, and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Mary Katherine died Friday, May 17, 2013, in Algona, at the age of 82. great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Rita (John) Reinders of Highland, MI; two brothers, Rev. Mr. Gerald (Ellen) Streit of West Bend, and Paul (Marilyn) Streit of North Mankato, MN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Marvin on August 3, 2011; one sister, Coletta Cahill; and three brothers, Cletus, Bernard, and Edward Streit.
