Marjorie E. Rowe, 90, of Maquoketa, Iowa, died on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Clover Ridge Place in Maquoketa.
A private graveside service and burial will be held at a later date from the Monmouth, Iowa Cemetery. There is no public visitation. The Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa is caring for the family.
Marjorie Ethel Sanderson was born on September 18, 1922 in Murdo, South Dakota to Leo and Leona (Hardin) Sanderson. She was a graduate of Monmouth High School. She married Arthur Rowe on June 28, 1941 in Camanche, Iowa. He preceded her in death on November 27, 1982.
Marjorie was a homemaker and had worked for the Jackson County Assessor's Office for several years.
Those left to honor Marjorie's memory include her children, Kathleen Rowe-Meader and her husband Glenn of Maquoketa, Iowa, and Douglas Rowe and his wife Grace of Shanghai, China; 2 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant son, and a brother Marvin.
