GEORGE J. MEYERSON March 26,1920-June 1, 2013 Our tennis champion has left the court. George lived a full life and died peacefully in his sleep at 93 years old, surrounded by his loving family. George Meyerson, dearest husband of Lillian Meyerson for 51 years,(former husband of Valerie who passed away in 1959); Dad to Michael(Joanne), Steven(Robin), Barry, Donna and Dean(Judy); "Papa George" to Michelle(Todd), Ryan(Lisa), Allison, Chris, Kim(Kevin), Scott(Lindsay), Jennifer(Jose), Darrin(Erin), Greg and Dana; "Great Papa" to Meghan, Ashley, Gabriel, Sydnee, Brielle, Jaylee and Hannah. Our family wants to extend a very special thanks to George's amazing caregiver, Cely. George and Lillian started George M. Fabric Company in 1975, currently being run by Lillian, Michael and Dean. George and Lil loved travelling the world looking for new designer fabrics. George's favorite pastimes were tennis, bridge, rooting for his L.A. 0's. His absence will be felt and his legacy will live on in all those who knew and loved him. Funeral will be held Tuesday, June 4th, 11:00 a.m. at Mount Sinai, 5950 Forest Lawn Dr., Los Angeles. In lieu of flowers, donations in George's memory may be made the the American Heart Association.
