Shirley A. Rasmussen BRYAN, Texas -- Shirley Ann Rasmussen, 73, of Bryan, Texas, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2013. Private family interment will be held at Oakdale Cemetery in Wilton. Memorials may be made to the Muscatine, County Humane Society. Shirley was born on April 1, 1940, in Saint Louis, Missouri, to Edward J. and Lavone Cross. She married Walter Hanssen in Davenport, they were later divorced. She married Paul D. Rasmussen. She enjoyed machine embroidery, her dogs, and a parrot. Survivors include her four daughters, Louanne Sullivan of Kansas, Ohio, Wendy Hanssen of Muscatine, Iowa, Laurie Tate of Nichols, Iowa, and Paula Downey of College Station, Texas; one son, Brad Hanssen of Blue Grass; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her sister Maxine Mosley of Bryan, Texas.[more]
