BUONOCORE, Mary Wolff, age 70, of Miamisburg, Ohio died June 1, 2013 after a long and grueling struggle with Alzheimer's. Mary was born February 14, 1943 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Louis and Helen Wolff. In 1961, Mary graduated from St. Joseph Commercial High School. She was united in marriage to William J. Buonocore in September 1968 to 1979 and together they raised two daughters Jenny and Jessie. Mary is survived by her lifetime partner Robert Hoernel who loved her unconditionally and during the most difficult of times. She is also survived by daughters Jenny (Adam) McClanahan and Jessie (Scott) Whitesell, and six loving grandchildren: Kristen, Mickey, Sam, Max, Miles, and Molly, brother Robert Wolff (Kay), two sisters Ann Leigh (Walter Strubczewski) and Katie Wolff (Jay Gordin), three nieces: Karen Schamel, MaryBeth Walters, and Becky Humphrey, and three nephews: Doug Wolff, Jeff Wolff, and Michael Leigh. Family and friends will gather at Cox Arboretum Sunday, September 15 anytime from 1-4 p.m. to share stories, photographs, and warm memories of her. The family wishes to thank all those who lovingly cared for Mary at Crossroads Hospice and Brighton Gardens during the last three years of her illness. Donations in honor of Mary can be made to Crossroads Hospice Charitable Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization with a stated purpose of educating the community about the benefits of hospice. The proceeds of donations will go back into the community. Crossroads Hospice provided peace, comfort, and dignity to Mary in her final years.
