Merle C. Yocum

Merle C. Yocum, age 74, of McMinnville, Tennessee, died Sunday June 9, 2013 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN. Merle was born in Denniston, Kentucky on November 30, 1938 to Edmond and Marie (Ratliff) Yocum. Merle was employed with a national hotel chain for 17 years and retired in 2012. He was previously employed at Lebanon Electric and Middletown Electric. Merle's passion in life was playing and singing country music. In March of this year Merle accepted Jesus as his Savior and is now singing with the musicians in Heaven. Merle was preceded in death by parents Edmond C. and Marie Yocum, brother, Warren Yocum. Merle is survived by his siblings Janice (Jerry) Brickley, Wanda Yocum, William (Becky) Yocum, Oleta (Robert) LeVangie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 1:00 pm Friday June 14, 2013 at Anderson Funeral Home 1357 East Second Street Franklin, Ohio with Pastor Mike Rhodehamel officiating. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery.
