STELLA NEWTON MESECHER MUSCATINE, Iowa - Stella Marie Newton Mesecher, 65, of Muscatine, died on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Private Family Service will be held. Stella was born on November 20, 1947, in Muscatine, the daughter of Eugene D. and Doris Eierman Newton. She married Harold Mesecher. She attended two years at Muscatine Community College and also attended Iowa State University. She loved animals and her cats. Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Harold Mesecher of Muscatine; two sons, William C. Tobias and wife, Debra, of Cedar Rapids, and Brian D. Tobias and wife, Linnette, of Muscatine; three grandchildren, Michael Tobias and wife Kristen, Sarah Tobias, and Daniel Tobias; one great-grandson, Tanner Tobias; her father, Eugene Newton of Muscatine; and two brothers, Paul E. Newton of Davenport, and David D. Newton and wife, Karen, of Davenport. She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris W. Newton on March 20, 2013.[more]
