Nancy Lou Nelson

Our beloved Nancy passed with dignity and peace in the early morning of June 17th. Nancy was born in Madison on August 15, 1952 and was a lifelong resident. She attended West High School (Class of 1970) and worked for many years at Olson's Cupid's Corner - managing the stores upon the retirement of her father, John B. Nelson. Nancy also worked as a trainer at The Princeton Club in recent years. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, John B. Nelson and Arliss (Heiss) Nelson. She is survived by her sister, Kristin Nelson of San Antonio, Texas; her brother Michael Nelson and sister-in-law Cindy (Chapman) Nelson of Denver, Colorado; a niece Christiana Nelson of Denver, CO; two nephews Anders Nelson (Katie) of Denver, CO and Colin Willauer of Los Angeles, CA. A great nephew Liam Nelson of Denver, CO. Nancy is also survived by her beloved dog, Bingo. Additional survivors include her partner Shawn Triller, his son Ben and daughter Nicole and many, many dear friends that will miss her deeply. er the years, including the Rose Bowl in 1994. Nancy loved to laugh and brightened many a room or party with her wonderful sense of humor. "It was just hilarious" was frequently the beginning of one of Nancy's stories, and the epitome of who she was. We will miss her beyond measure, but her laughter will echo in our hearts forever. A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2013 at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison.
