Gladys M. Veum

Rio- Gladys M. Veum, age 69, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2013 with her loving husband by her side. She was born in Missouri on October 31, 1943 the daughter of Clarence and Olinda Morris. Gladys graduated from Madison East High School. On May 6, 1967 Gladys married Thomas Veum in Stoughton. She worked as a bank teller until her retirement in 2005. Gladys enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, watching college basketball and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Tom; son, Eric (Rachel); two grandchildren, Samantha and Andrew; and two sisters, Vera (Tom) Thorpe and Janice Iverson. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Carol Grooms. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon immediately following at the Stoughton VFW Post 328, 200 Veterans Road. Friends may greet the family from 9:30 AM until the time of services Thursday.
