LORNA DIANE INGRASSIA "Diane" Mrs. Diane Ingrassia, of Lake Street in Port Washington, passed away peacefully at her residence Sunday, June 16, 2013. She was 74 years old. She was born on August 4, 1938 in Middlegrove, IL, daughter of Charles and Hazel Simpson Dehm. Diane attended local schools, graduating from Farmington High School with the Class of 1955. On July 4, 1961 she was united in marriage with Russell Ingrassia in Peoria, IL. The couple settled in the Peoria area and raised their family. Diane attended college and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing in 1987. Mr. Ingrassia preceded her in death in 1999. Diane moved to Wisconsin, originally to Trenton and later to Port Washington. She enjoyed her work at local hospitals including St. Joseph's in West Bend and St. Mary's Ozaukee in Mequon, and frequently worked in the geriatrics and psychiatric departments. She retired in 2009. Mrs. Ingrassia was a seasoned world traveler, a voracious reader and enjoyed art in many forms, including cake decorating and painting. She is further survived by eight grandchildren: Stephanie, Caitlin, John, Anthony, Nicholas, Angela, Joseph and Jennifer, sister Tanya (Joe) Callahan of Springfield, VA , brother Tom Dehm of Sun City, AZ, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband and her parents. A Memorial Service to celebrate Diane's life will be held at 6:30 PM on Friday, June 21st at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave., Cedarburg. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Peoria at a later date. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Friday from 6-6:30 PM.
