Our Dad was called home by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 29, 2013, while vacationing in California at the age of 90. It's a moment like this, when we become painfully aware that nothing is on our time schedule, but only the Lord's. This was an incredible man, full of love, life, and joy; so Heaven rejoice, you have another angel. Taken too soon from those who loved him, from friends who needed just one more story and from all who needed his strength. He was an example of a life will lived. Preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Zuehlsdorff. Loving Father of Jennifer A. Crustals, Tracey Ann (Tom) Pangman, and Scott D. (Allison) Zuehlsdorff. Dear grandfather of Frank (Melody), Denise Evans, Mallery (John) Patterson, James (Candice) Evans, Christina (Gary) Warden, Jason Crustals, Taylor, Sydney and Blake Pangman, Lacey and Cozi Zuehlsdorff. 10:00 AM. Private burial at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Memorials appreciated to the church or the American Heart Association. Our Dad served his country in WWII, as a navigator on that lumbering B-17, retiring in 1945 as a captain. His gift was writing, and he had his own advertising agency in Oakbrook, IL for a number of years. Anyone who ever received a card from our Dad, no matter what the occasion, received the most beautiful, heart filled message from his own hand. We will live a better life, be a little kinder to family and friends, and learn to live without our best friend, and father. "WELL DONE DAD."
