Barbara Ann Couture

Barbara Couture of Grafton, peacefully passed away in the morning hours of Sunday, July 7, 2013 surrounded by her loving children. She was 80 years old. Barbara was born in Milwaukee on August 15, 1932, daughter of Emil Knuth and Elizabeth Draeger Knuth. Barbara worked for and retired from First Star Bank in Milwaukee. Barbara was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, playing bingo and spending time with her family. She is survived by her two children Philip Couture of Ashland and Michele (Patrick) Wester of Belgium. She is further survived by three grandchildren; Lauren, Ryan and Nathan, three sisters; Hazel (the late Glenn) Habich, Sharon (Robert) Wrecza and Judy (Ron) Kuta all of Grafton, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, five siblings; Marj Schoenbeck, Mary Williams, Richard Knuth, James Knuth and Carol Bubandt. Funeral services will be celebrated on Thursday, July 11th at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 171 N. Royal Ave., Belgium, with Pastor Larry Prahl officiating.
