James "Jim" Vernard Hunter was born on September 12, 1949, in Windom, Minnesota to Vernard and Joy (Wilkin) Hunter. He was baptized at the Methodist Church in Windom and later confirmed at the Delafield Lutheran Church. He received his education from Wilder and Windom Public Schools. James worked at Toro for over thirty years where he worked in the paint department and retired in 2011.
Jim passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at his home in Windom.
He was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Windom and the Windom Eagle's Club. He enjoyed sports, especially the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings and loved to be with his family. Jim was known to many as "Catfish."
Jim is survived by five siblings, Gary Hunter and his wife, Joan, of Windom; David Hunter and his wife, Ranae, of Northrop; Virginia Clark and her husband, Robert, of Mapleton; Carol Ross of Windom; and Karen Jensen and her husband, Perry, of Inver Grove Heights; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernard and Joy.
