Karen Berman-Riddle, Ph D (June 1, 1962 - July 14, 2013). Widely regarded as a foremost authority in the field, Karen was founder of the Business Literacy Institute and co-author of Financial Intelligence, one of Harvard Business Press' most successful books of the genre. She divided her time between her thriving business and family and volunteer activities, including work at the West Valley Food Bank and in her daughter's school.
She will be achingly missed and deeply remembered as a woman of penetrating clarity, quiet strength and profound devotion to her family. Karen is survived by her husband Young Riddle, daughter Marie, and sisters Freda and Debby, and mother Helen Berman.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 16, at 1:00, at Mount Sinai (Hollywood Hills). In lieu of flowers please donate to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer.
