Zella V. Thompson, 93, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Bickford Cottages, Fort Dodge, IA. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday July 26, 2013 at Badger Lutheran Church with the Rev. Darryl Landsverk officiating. Interment will be held in North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 25 at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Zella V. Thompson, the daughter of Michael and Viola Lynch, was born July 25, 1919 in Humboldt, Iowa. Zella graduated from Clare High School in 1939. On October 7, 1942, Zella was united in marriage to Alfred B. Thompson in Bethany, MO. The couple farmed near Badger, IA for 55 years and retired moving into Badger in 1982. Zella was employed with W & H Co-op. Zella was a member of Badger Lutheran church for over 60 years and a member of Sarah Circle. Preceding her in death was her parents, her husband Alfred in 2001, and her brothers Paul and Francis Lynch and grandson Jeremy B. Thompson. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
