Jazmine Marie Roth-Hines

Jazmine Marie Roth-Hines, 7, of Mount Pleasant died Friday, July 19, 2013, from an apparent drowning in Mount Pleasant. Born May 2, 2006, in Mount Pleasant, she was the daughter of Crystal Ann Roth and Michael Dean Hines. Jazmine attended Marian Baptist Church in Washington, Iowa. She would have been a second grader this fall at Van Allen Elementary School. She enjoyed her dollies, all animals, especially dogs, riding her bicycle, playing in the dirt and helping her family and friends. Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Crystal Roth and Jay Stopher of Mount Pleasant; her father and stepmother, Michael Dean Hines and Delorous Shirley of Mount Pleasant; one stepbrother, Kevin Shirley at home; her grandparents, Gary and Jane Roth and Gloria Palmer, all of Mount Pleasant, and Steve Hines of Montezuma; and her great-grandparents, Betty Roth of Dallas City, Ill., Ardell Whisenant of Wisconsin and Wayne Whisenant of Nebraska. She was preceded in death by six grandparents. The funeral for Jazmine Roth-Hines will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, at Elliott Chapel in New London, with the Rev. Monte Knudsen officiating.
