John Pederson Jr., 67, of Fort Dodge passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at The Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. A Celebration of Life will held on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with Rev. David Grindberg officiating. A visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday at the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Survivors include his children, Julie Pederson of Fort Dodge; Brenda Angstrom (Chuck) of Gowrie; Johnny Pederson III (Amy) of Fort Dodge; Chad Pederson (Michelle) of Waseca, MN; Tena Hovey of Fort Dodge; Wendy Teske (Dan) of Duncombe; 16 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Duane "Sonny" Pederson (Shirley) of Fort Dodge; sisters, Marcella "Tootie" Estes of Phoenix, AZ; Patricia Ann Hayes of Pomona, CA and special friend, Carolyn "Jo" Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, John G. and Constance (Clausen) Pederson; a sister, Virginia Lee (Harvey Dean) Graham. John was born on December 27, 1945 in Fort Dodge. He attended schools here. John was united in marriage to Marilyn Crouse from which 5 children were raised. The couple later divorced.
