Joan Kelleher Joan Kelleher, of the Town of Cedarburg, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at her residence. She was 78 years old. Joan was born in Princeton, NJ on March 3, 1935, daughter of Nicholas Parriski and Jeanette Strats. Joan spent much of her early life in New Jersey. On April 28, 1979, she married John "Jack" Kelleher at St. David Episcopal Church in Hightstown, NJ. The couple moved to the Town of Cedarburg in 1980. Joan worked as a claims supervisor for Blue Cross of Wisconsin for many years. She was a very active member of St. Simon the Fisherman Episcopal Church in Port Washington and also president of the Wodmen of the Church and was a member of the church's vestry. Joan was a volunteer at both Family Sharing of Ozaukee County and the Aurora Cancer Care Center in Grafton. Joan loved to socialize and was a fabulous entertainer and cook, often having get-togethers at her home in the Town of Cedarburg. Joan is survived by her brother David (Betty) Parriski of Nitro, WV, sister-in-law Emily Parriski of Trenton, NJ, great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. She is also survived by her four step-children: Linda (Norman) Reed of Clearwater, FL, Denise (Lee) Taylor of Mukwonago, Karen (Bob) Marsh of Fountain, MI and Steven Kelleher of Davis, CA. She is preceded in death by her husband Jack and her brother Anton "Tony" Parriski. Memorial services will be celebrated on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 1 PM at St. Simon the Fisherman Episcopal Church, 3448 Green Bay Rd., Port Washington. Father Julian Hills will preside. A time of gathering will precede the church services on August 3rd from 12-1 PM. Joan will be laid to rest next to her husband in Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg. The Eernisse Funeral Home, Cedarburg is honored to serve the family.
