Jesse Edward Johnson

Jesse Edward Johnson, 46, of Hamilton, IL, died Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. Jesse was born on July 27, 1967 in Keokuk, IA to Robert L. and Lucinda Vermeesch Johnson. He married Joann Younger on August 5, 1998 in Oklahoma City, OK. She survives. Jesse lived most of his life in the Keokuk area. He received a master's degree in engineering and worked for Carlisle Farms. He was a member of Keokuk Kiwanis club to which he served as president. His greatest joy was in spending time with and spoiling his children. In addition to his wife, he is survived by seven children: Lori Jockers of Florence, KY, Edwin Lavon of Covington, KY, Dalacey Curfman and Adam (Eden) Johnson, all of Keokuk, IA, Alex Jockers, Allison Johnson, and Jesse Johnson, all of Hamilton, IL; grandson, Azriel Cale; mother, Lucinda Johnson of Keokuk, IA; brother, Robert Johnson of Illinois; and sister, Roberta (Tom) Elston of Montrose, IA. He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.
