Brian L. Scott, 43, of Fort Dodge died Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 10:30 a Mass of Christian Burial will be at Corpus Christi Church with Rev. Joe Dillinger officiating. Burial will follow at North Lawn Cemetery. A visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home where there will be a Vigil service at the end of the visitation. Brian is survived by his fiancée, Christine Schnurr of Omaha, NE; children, Dru Boatner of Eagle Grove; Jayda Scott of Fort Dodge; parents, Tom and Kathy Scott of Fort Dodge; brothers, Kevin (Kim) of Papillion, NE; Mark (Heather) Norwalk; Chad (Lisa) of Fort Dodge; Eric (Amy) of Papillion, NE; sisters, Dawn Scott (Justin) of Fort Dodge; and Kari Stagg (Luke) of Ames and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Bernadine Scott and LaMona Anderson and John I. Meils. Brian L. Scott was born June 29, 1970 in Fort Dodge. Brian enjoyed playing softball, darts, fishing, camping, and being outdoors.
