Marietta Linton CEDARBURG, Wisconsin -- Marietta Jean Linton died on February 4, 2013, in Cedarburg. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2013, St. Mathias Church in Muscatine. The Reverend Jason Crossen will officiate. A luncheon will be served afterwards. Marietta was born on January 11, 1930, in Muscatine, the daughter of Walter C and Emma McSwiggen Newton. She was baptized at St. Mathias Church and attended parochial school there. She graduated from high school in Muscatine, and married William D. Goldsberry in August of 1948. She lived in Florida where she worked in the banking industry and later married Ralph Linton. Marietta moved back to Muscatine in 1966, and opened Ralmar's, a very popular women's clothing store in the Muscatine Mall. She later moved to Dallas and ultimately Atlanta, working full time until finally retiring in 1979 at the age of 79. She is survived by her brother, Robert E. Newton of Retsil, Washington; a daughter, Jean and partner, Angela Neal, of Concord, Massachusetts; a son, Tony of New York, New York; a grandson, Christopher Warren and wife, Ariana, of San Diego, California; a granddaughter, Andrea Warren...[more]
