y two years. Aline was an active member of the West Liberty United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She served as a 4-H leader to the Waspsie Cedar Pals. She was a life-long member and held office in several organizations; Fortnightly Literary Club, Hartupee Social Club and the Rest-A-While club among others. She was avid at sewing, gardening, and reading. Aline loved all kinds of music but it was the music of her youth- Bluegrass - that she enjoyed the most. The greatest joy in her life was taking care of her family and living on the farm. She is survived by her daughter, Pam Erwin of Mahwah, New Jersey, her sons, Ronald Erwin of Iowa City, and Stan Erwin and wife, Sue, of Burlington; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sylvia Darling of Vallejo, California, and Stella Gillotte of Farmington, New York; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 64 years, Lewis Erwin in 2007; four sisters; and three brothers.
