Mr. Larry Glenn Blutt, 56, of rural Burlington died at 11:02 a.m. Monday, September 2, 2013, at his home after a four year battle with cancer. Born November 5, 1956 in Miles City, Montana, he was the son of Joe and Helen (Frye) Blutt. On November 29, 1985 he married Nancy Elizabeth Graham in Burlington. Mr. Blutt was a machinist for BNSF Railroad for 30 years. He was a Jack-of-all-trades and enjoyed building things and working with his hands. There wasn't anything he couldn't do as a machinist and welder. He was a pet lover and was famous for his bonfires and his cooking - especially his "spud spinner" and kettle corn. He also enjoyed racing Jeeps. Family and friends were an important part of his life. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Blutt of Burlington; daughter; April (Andrew Jr.) Robinson of Waterloo; son, Spencer Schoenewe of San Antonio, Texas; two grandsons, Andrew Robinson III and Amani Robinson both of Waterloo; two sisters, Josie (Darrel) Dahlberg of Brockton, Montana and Myrna (Mike) McKay of Powell Wyoming; one brother, Dennis Blutt of Ekalaka, Montana; sister-in-law, Joyce Blutt of Colorado Springs, Colorado and several nieces and nephews. th by his parents and brother, Ken Blutt. A special thank you to Larry's co-workers at BNSF RR for donating paid time off hours to help Larry's wish of making it to 30 years. He thought the world of all of you. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, September 6th, at Lunning Chapel. The funeral service for Mr. Blutt will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 7th, at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Dean Graber officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. According to Mr. Blutt's wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Lunning Chapel and Burlington Wilbert Crematory and will be accorded following the funeral service.
