Edward L. Irving COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa -- Edward Louis Irving, 80, of Columbus Junction, died on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at the Wapello Nursing and Care Center. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 13, 2013, at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services, Columbus Junction. Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery with full military rites. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2013, at the funeral home. Edward was born on April 20, 1933, in Herman, Maine, to Louis C. and Olive C. Coughlin Irving. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from June 1950 - June 1953. He married V. Joyce Miller in Columbus Junction on December 24, 1954. He worked for several employers including the University of Iowa. Most of all, Ed loved to spend time with his grandkids and great grandkids. Ed will be dearly missed by his wife, Joyce Irving of Columbus Junction; children, Ila J. Sibley of North Liberty, Lora M. Irving of North Liberty, Charlene A.
