Gary Stephen 'Gunner' Hunt WAPELLO, Iowa--Gary Stephen 'Gunner' Hunt, 69, of Wapello, died Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at the Wapello Nursing & Rehab Center. Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Wapello Cemetery. A time of food and fellowship will be held at the Fellowship Hall of the United Methodist Church following the committal service. Visitation will be from 2 until 7 p.m. on Friday, September 13, 2013, at the funeral home. The family will meet friends one hour prior to the funeral. Per his wishes he will be cremated. 'Gunner' was born on November 6, 1943, at home in Louisa County near Wapello, the son of William Stephen and Virginia Gayle Heater Hunt. He married Jean Crammond on October 26, 1962, in Davenport. He graduated from Wapello Consolidated High School in 1962. He worked at GPC, and then moved to Wapello in 1964 and farmed in the Wapello area. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Wapello, a trustee for the Drainage District #12 and was an EMT and firefighter for the Wapello Volunteer Fire Department.
