LOIS ANN JANKE Mrs. Lois Ann Janke, of Judge Drive in Saukville, passed away at her home while surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday evening, September 11, 2013. She was 81 years old. Lois Ann was born in La Crosse on December 11, 1931, daughter of George and Anne Polacek Miller. The family moved to the Milwaukee area while she was young, and she attended local schools, graduating from St. John's Cathedral High School. On May 31, 1952 she was united in marriage with William Janke, Jr. The couple settled in the Milwaukee area and raised their family. They moved to Saukville in 1972. Her husband preceded her in death in 1996. Mrs. Janke worked at Bolens / Troy Built in Port Washington, retiring in 1996 after more than 20 years on the job. She was a member at Kingdom Hall in Grafton. Lois Ann loved gardening and sewing; she had made many quilts for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed researching family history, bird watching, stamp & coin collecting, going on fishing trips with her husband and a good game of sheepshead. n, Kenneth (Pamela) Janke of Menomonee Falls, James (Deborah) Janke, also of Milwaukee, Margaret (William) James of Hartland and Janice (Joseph) Fellion of Saukville. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Gary, Kim, Matthew, Sheri, Bryan, Rebecca, Thomas, Nicole, Maxwell and Sarah, 7 great-grandchildren: Jennifer, Ryan, Kassidy, Faith, Noah, Tristan and Abby. Further survivors include brother-in-law Charles (Maryann) Janke and Lillian Miller, both of Milwaukee, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, grandson William Janke IV, and brother Conrad Miller. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 21, leaving the Eernisse Funeral Home at 1PM going to Kingdom Hall, 2500 Cty C, Grafton, for services at 1:30 pm. The family will receive visitors at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington, on Saturday Sept. 21st from 11am-1PM. Memorials are suggested in lieu of flowers.
