Elizabeth Margaret Prochaska

Elizabeth Margaret Prochaska, 93, of Tipton, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, September 10, 2013 in Cedar Manor Nursing Home, Tipton. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 beginning at 10:00 AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tipton, Rev. Donnita Moeller, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Johns Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Elizabeth was born on September 12, 1919 in Williamsburg, Iowa and was the daughter of Albert and Dorothy Schmidt Ristedt. On May 7, 1946 she was united in marriage to Donald Thomas Prochaska in St. Paul, MN. Elizabeth was a graduate of the Cedar Rapids Business College and was a former employee of the Iowa Inspection Bureau for 10 years and retired from WMT Stations after 12 ½ years as their secretary. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church. Elizabeth is survived by two children: Rev. Thomas Prochaska, and wife Candace, from Dayton, Ohio & Peg Bixby and husband Pat, Tipton, Iowa.
