She was the recipient of the Antigo Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year Award in 1992 for establishing the LeRoyer Hospice Program at Langlade Memorial Hospital. She was a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader, and a member of the Sparks-Doernenburg American Legion Post #3 Auxiliary, the Leland Tollefson Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 2653, and the Langlade County Cabane Locale #1204, La Society de Femme, all of Antigo. In Wausau she was a member of First Universalist Unitarian Church, she volunteered at the Woodson Art Museum and at the Marathon County Public Library. She was a member of American Association of University Women and the Metro Club. Surviving are two daughters, Kathleen Bradley Appleton, Barbara (Allen Limberg) Bradley Wausau; six sons, Stephen (Mary) Bradley Antigo, Mark (Ann) Bradley Wausau, James Bradley Rye, NY, Patrick (Karrye) Bradley Weston, Joseph (Deb) Bradley Harshaw, Thomas (Laurel) Bradley Antigo; 20 grandchildren, five great grandchildren; four sisters, Marquerite Van Gorp Appleton, Marcella "Sally" Pendergast Appleton, Catherine Meixl, Neenah, Petronella Vanden Heuvel Appleton; a sisters-in-law, Jacquelyn Van Gorp LaGrange, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Bradley and parents, two brothers Roman and Eugene Van Gorp and a sister Dorothy Kiley. Funeral services will be held at First Universalist Unitarian Church, corner of 6th and Grant Steets in Wausau on Tuesday September 17, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Paul Beckel officiating. Interment will take place in the Queen of Peace Cemetery in Antigo. Visitation will be on Monday from 3:30 - 8 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home 1550 Neva Rd. (Hwy 45) Antigo and on Tuesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Contributions may be made to the UW-Marathon County Foundation or to the Universalist Unitarian Church, Wausau.
