Mark D. Grimm WAPELLO, Iowa--Mark D. Grimm, 90, of Wapello, died at his home Sunday afternoon, September 15, 2013. Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at the Apostolic Christian Church in Mediapolis. Burial will take place in Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery, rural Oakville. Visitation will be 12:00 Noon until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello where the family will meet friends from 4 until 7 p.m. The family will also meet friends from 9 until 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at the church and during a fellowship lunch after the committal also at the church. A memorial fund has been established for the benefit of the Great River Hospice. Mark was born on March 31, 1923, in Albert Lea, Minnesota, the son of Chris and Julia Massner Grimm. He married Margaret Friederich on June 17, 1951, in Taylor, Missouri. He attended Huron School in rural Des Moines County. He was a farmer in the Wapello area and sold John Deere farm equipment for Hillyard Implement in Winfield. He also became a Real Estate Broker. . He enjoyed fishing and traveling worldwide with his wife. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Grimm of Wapello; a daughter, Bev Kuntz and husband, Keith, of Wapello; four sons, Curt Grimm and wife, Karen, and Kent Grimm and wife, Denise, both of Wapello, Chris Grimm of Burlington, and Steve Grimm and wife, Christina, of Wapello; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mavis Hermann of Morton, Illinois; and a brother, David Grimm and wife, Sue, of Verona, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Ursela Barth; and five brothers, Clyde, Floyd, Jess, Kenneth, and Charles.
