Donna Marie Azinger Tabbaa

Donna Marie Azinger Tabbaa, 70, of Montrose, Iowa, passed away at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at her home. Donna was born in Keokuk, Iowa on May 24, 1943, a daughter of Herman and Loretta Moran Azinger. She graduated from Montrose High School in 1961 and graduates as an LPN from St. Lukes Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She lived in Yorba Linda, California for thirty-seven years before moving back to Montrose, Iowa. She had several jobs in California mostly at Mary's Shelter (a group home for pregnant unwed teen-age girls). She worked in St. Joseph Hospital as an LPN. Donna also worked for Toro Infirmary in New Orleans. She is survived by her three sons: Tarek Tabbaa of California; Todd Tabbaa and his wife Diana of Leominster, Massachusetts; Shawn Tabbaa of California, daughter, Melissa Bollins and her husband Robert of California; two brothers: Richard Azinger and his wife Mary Ann of DeWitt, Iowa, Roy Azinger and his wife Liz of Mesa, Arizona, two sisters-in-law: Barb Azinger of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Mrs. William (Sheila) Azinger of Montrose, Iowa; six grandchildren: Sophia, Jeremy, Tommy, Chloe, Noelle and Grace; and many nieces and nephews, She was...[more]

eceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Herman, William, and Thomas Azinger and one sister-in-law Pat Azinger. A Celebration of her Life will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Montrose, Iowa with Rev. Mark Springs officiating. Burial will follow at Montrose Cemetery, Montrose, Iowa. Visitation will be from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 1212 Concert Street, Keokuk, Iowa with family meeting friends during that time. Per her wishes, in lieu of flowers, masses are appreciated.
