Marcella Helen Bowman

Mrs. Marcella Helen Bowman, 87, of Burlington died at 10:41 p.m. Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Burlington Care Center. Born December 12, 1925 in Burlington, she was the daughter of Fred and Catherine Louise Brookhiser Hartman. On December 2, 1943 she married Clinton Bowman in Burlington. Mrs. Bowman worked at National Research, Campbell Chain and Midwest Biscuit Co. She was of the Methodist faith. She collected old dolls, enjoyed cardinals, dogs, old antique cars. Marcella was a past member of the Women's Blackhawk Auto Restorers Club. Survivors include her husband of almost 70 years, Clinton Bowman of Burlington and one son, Steven (Barbara) Bowman of New London; nieces and nephews including special nephew Robert Wiley of LaHarpe, Illinois; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Arlene and Dale Heater of Morning Sun. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Leonard Bowman; one brother and one sister, and special niece Alice Hartman Wiley. [more]
