Joel "Joe" Boisjolie

Joel Richard Boisjolie was born January 6, 1954, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of Richard and Mary (Seeley) Boisjolie. The family later moved to Maryland where Joe attended school and was an outstanding high school athlete. He graduated from the Cambridge Senior High School in Cambridge, Maryland in 1972. He moved to Algona in 1973. Joe worked as a welder and fork lift operator most of his life and in the past had worked at Snap-on Tools in Algona. Joe enjoyed being with his family and especially spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was a man that enjoyed the simple things in life, being outdoors, fishing, hunting mushrooms and was an avid sports fan. Joe was happy where he was and the last few years were the best of his life and he made sure people knew it. Joe died Monday, October 7, 2013, at his residence in Algona. He was 59.
