the church janitor and helped with the building of the addition of St. Paul's School in 1957. Arnold was also a member of the Laymen's League, Aid Association for Lutherans for fifteen years, board member of the Latimer Manor, board member of CAL's over 60's, served as the St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery sexton and served as a caretaker for the Latimer Manor. He enjoyed woodworking, including building birdhouses and carving animals. Arnold is survived by his wife Alice of Latimer, daughter Patricia Schomburg of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, daughter Pearl (Dick) Erenberger of Ely, Iowa, son David (Linda) Schomburg of Rosemount, Minnesota, grandchildren Anthony Iwanczuk of Coral Springs, Florida, Rhonda (Jeff) Havlik of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Lonna (Kyle) Grimm of Solon, Iowa, Brenda (Eric) Olson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Christy (Christopher) Sandeen of Elko, Minnesota and Todd (Megan) Schomburg of Lakeville, Minnesota, great-grandchildren Madison, Ella, Matthew, Jeremy, Remmington, Sidney, Logan, Zophie and Maxwell, brother-in-law Darrel (Norma) Borcherding, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Andrea Ann, sisters Verna and Mardelle, brothers Ralph, Floyd, Wendell, Victor and Wayne, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws. Burial will take place in the St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for future disbursement.
