Barton G. LaCrosse WILTON, Iowa -- Barton G. LaCrosse, age 79, of Wilton, died on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at Trinity Hospital, Muscatine. Funeral services will follow the Masonic Service which will be conducted by the Wilton Masonic Lodge No. 167 AF and AM at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at the Grace United Church of Christ, Wilton. Services will be conducted by Pastor Patrick Slessor. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Latta, Kenneth Lincoln, Joe Bearden, Joe Masseth, Jeff Kaufmann and Orville Elmshaeuser. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Corigan Bearden. Burial will take place in the Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton, with military honors conducted by the Wilton American Legion. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. on Monday, November 11, 2013, at the Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton. Additional visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Grace United Church of Christ, Wilton. Memorial donations may be made to Grace United Church of Christ in his memory. uffe Kuelper on July 8, 1956, in Wilton. She preceded him in death on May 18, 2006. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1942 to 1946. Bart was employed by Eastern Iowa Light and Power Cooperative for 25 1/2 years. He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Wilton and the Wilton Historical Society. He served on the Wilton Volunteer Fire Department for 28 years and was a Boy Scout leader for 21 years. He was a member of the Wilton American Legion #584 and the Wilton Masonic Lodge #167 AF and AM. Bart served on the board of Leland Smith Assisted Living and Simpson Memorial Home. Bart is survived and lovingly remembered by his daughter, Susan Bearden and husband, Joe, of Sanger, Texas; his son, Randall LaCrosse of Hudson, Florida; his six granddaughters, Angela Pryor and husband, Larry, of The Colony, Texas, Sarah Martin and husband, Ed, of Northport, Alabama, Jessica Bearden of Sanger, Texas, and Deanna, Joanna, and Gina LaCrosse of Hudson, Florida; his five great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Corigan, Grayson, Cayden, and Aubrey; and his sister, Diane Mannel of Barrington, Illinois; his twin sister, Barbara Lourigan of Wilton; and by his special lady friend, Beverly Dillaplain. He was preceded in death by his wife; his brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Loretta LaCrosse; and two brothers-in-law, Tom Lourigan and Bob Mannel.
