MARGARET 'PEG' VAN BLARCOM MUSCATINE, Iowa - Margaret 'Peg' Van Blarcom, 76, of Muscatine, died on Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at Lutheran Homes. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Reverend Dan Schoepf of Calvary Baptist Church will officiate. A time of food and fellowship will be held following the service at Calvary Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation. Peg was born on December 8, 1936, in Coldwater, Michigan, the daughter of Kenneth and Margaret Schmidt Cuyler. She married Lynwood Van Blarcom and he preceded her in death. She worked as a bookkeeper at Stiles Drug Store, Carver Hardware, and later at the Hotel Muscatine. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She loved to play bingo, eat popcorn, dilly bars, and loved her family and friends.
