Helen A. Anderson

Helen Ann (Zabel) Anderson age 72 of Hugo, passed away November 15, 2013 at home surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by parents, Roland Zabel and Clytie Thoreson; and sister, Sandy Burger. Helen will be deeply missed by husband of 51 ½ years, Byron Anderson; children and grandchildren, Steve (Carrie) and their sons, Kelvin and Vincent Anderson, Lisa (Joe) and their children, Maggie, Thomas, and Andrew Gadbois, Craig (Kris) and their daughters, Rachael, Maria, and Rebecca Anderson, Mark (Joni) and their sons, Jake and Alex Anderson, and Cindy (Duane) and their children, Nick, Julia, and Jon Inman; step-father, Orlie (Marji) Thoreson; twin sister and Helen's "Other Half," Susan (Wayne) Langness; brother, David (Sally) Zabel; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. Hardworking farmwife, 4H leader involved with the County and State Fairs, former AARP President, community volunteer, and caregiver to everyone in need are ways Helen will always be remembered.
