Eleanor Louise Lamb

  Eleanor L. Lamb, 84, of Fort Dodge passed away Friday, November 15, 2013 at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinic.        Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 19 at 10:30 A.M. in the chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Rev. James Barnett, pastor of Riverside United Methodist Church officiating.   Burial will follow at North Lawn Cemetery.  A visitation will be held on Monday, November 18 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 at the funeral home.        Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Julie Allen and her husband Jerry of Moline, IL; son, Timothy Lamb of Sandstone, MN; grandson, Cale Thye of Denver, CO; and granddaughter, Aubrey Thye of San Francisco, CA.      She is preceded in death by her parents, Ellsworth and Ruth (Kahl) Steinhoff; husband, Harold (Bud); brothers, Edward and Howard Steinhoff; and son, Billy.      Eleanor L. ted in marriage to Harold on June 24, 1951.  Eleanor was a teacher for Fort Dodge Community Schools, the Catholic school, and also at Manson NW Webster for 46 years.  Currently, Eleanor was residing in Friendship Haven at Kenyon Place.      She was a member of the Riverside United Methodist Church and served on the conference board for United Methodist Women for eight years.  Eleanor was a past President of the American Association of University Women, she was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa, and was an avid leader of Teens for Tomorrow.            Memorials may be left in discretion to the family.
