Russell Lindon Mikesell

Russell L. Mikesell Sr. 79 of Middletown passed away Saturday November 23, 2013 at Hospice of Butler-Warren County. He was born in Middletown the son of Clarence and Margaret (Weidle) Mikesell. Russell retired from the US Postal Service after 39 years. He operated his own water hauling business for 40 years and was also was an avid bowler, a Life Member of the Bowling Hall OF Fame. Russell also enjoyed 4-H and enjoyed showing his prized cattle winning numerous awards. Russell is survived by his loving wife, Joann (Carberry)of 58 years, sons, Russell Jr (friend, Jenny) and Stephen (Maria) Mikesell, daughters, Debbie (David) Adams and Victoria (Rick) Smethers, grandchildren, David and Zach Adams, Russell III, and Chris Mikesell, Nicole Mullins and Phoebe Mikesell, also great grandchildren, Jordan and Evan Mullins, Jack Mikesell and D J Von Stein. A celebration of Russell's life will be Wednesday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the Anderson, Life Celebration Center 360 Commerce Dr. Franklin.
