He enjoyed attending auctions, collecting John Deere and dairy memorabilia, restoring antique farm equipment and in earlier years hunting and fishing. Harold's greatest love was for his family; he attended all of his children's and grandchildren's activities and enjoyed the time he spent with them, and now his great-grandchildren too. Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Scott Bowser of Rock Island and Cheryl and Jerry Lowe of Taylor Ridge; a daughter-in-law, Gloria Schroder of Tucson, Arizona; stepchildren, Rick and Kim Miers, Rene' Snow, Lisa and Jack Lange, Sam and Greg Meiresonne, Mike and Loretta Miers, Doug and Michelle Miers, Tim Miers, Sharon Pettit, Charlie and Stephanie Wise, Mark and Denise Wise, and Marv and Gabby Wise; grandchildren, Amanda Schroder, Adam Lowe and wife, Sabrina, Nick Schroder and Brad Lowe; great-grandchildren, Tatum and Harper Lowe; 24 step-grandchildren; 13 step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ivan Schroder of Maquoketa, Iowa, and Melvin Schroder of DeWitt, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; both wives; a son, Mike Schroder; a brother, Jerry Schroder; and sisters, Loretta Jackson and Lois Gilmore.
