lais cattle, fixing up and driving Model T Ford's with Gary Ludwig and Dick Thompson and volunteering countless hours at Heritage Park. Don also enjoyed watching Forest City Indian and Iowa Hawkeye sporting events. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, served on the Ellington Township Cemetery Board and was on the Board of Directors at the Forest City Co-op. Don is survived by his three children, Tim (Gayle) Westerberg of Dillon, CO, Deanna (Dave) Ennen of Forest City and Steve (Nancy) Westerberg of Oelwein; nine grandchildren, Wendy (Matt) Schwartz, Brian (Katie) Westerberg, Scott Westerberg, Ross Ennen, Rachel (Jeremy) Hurshman, Eric Westerberg, Mackenzie Jones, McCabe Jones and Amy Westerberg; four great-grandchildren, Sadie and Abbie Schwartz and Talley and Drue Westerberg; three sisters, Vivian (Amery) Charlson of Forest City, Margie (Don) Olson of Sun City, AZ and Muriel (Richard) Lowenberg of Anaheim, CA; a brother, Rodney (Rogene) Westerberg of Forest City; a sister-in-law, Garnett Westerberg of Amery, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Edell, March 7, 2012; and a brother, Arden Westerberg.
