Judith Showalter Sandy

Judith Showalter Sandy, age 95, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Friday November 29, 2013 at Hospice of Dayton. Judith was born in Snowville, Virginia on April 16, 1918 to William Nathaniel and Lura (Malinda) Showalter. Judith was co-owner with Rooflines a Cross Stitching Shop. She was preceded in death by her husband Raleigh Sandy. Judith is survived by her sons Raleigh A. Sandy Jr. and wife, Patsy, William Tilman Sandy and wife, Betty Jo; daughters, Frances Elizabeth Umberger and husband, Fred, Mary Catherine Karatzie and husband, Vagelli; grandchildren Sadie Umberger Tedder, Jung Min Collins, Tracy Reeves, Raleigh A. Sandy III, Steven Sandy, Kim Petrie, Teri Keroack, Alkistic Karatzie, and Tasco Karatzie; 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild; brother Robert Showalter; sister Melinda Lareau; sisters-in-law Lina Showalter and Margaret Sayers. Memorial services will be at 10:30am Saturday December 14, 2013 at Crossview Christian Church 4237 E. Social Row Rd. Waynesville, OH 45068 with Pastors Randy Snyder and Susan Nelson officiating.
