Kia Fowler, almost 2 year old furry child of Teresa and Patrick Fowler of Oxford Junction, died peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2013 at his home, surrounded by loved ones.
Kia came to us on a cold evening February 10, 2012, when he was accidentally run over top by a Kia. He came to be with us to pass away from trauma in a loving environment. Instead, he became a permanent member of our family much to Tanna's (the dog) distaste. He brought joy to our lives and we believe was the angel God sent to us to enable us almost 2 more years of life with Ole Tanna (who was ill). He loved to aggravate Tanna, but he would curl up with her and keep her each other company. He loved to burrow under the blankets in between his mom and dad at night. He loved to sit in the window and watch the squirrels and loved to chase the laser light up and down his tower. He knew when 5 and 5 rolled around for feeding time and never hesitated to let you know if you were late. He was loyal and true to us and had to inspect anything and anybody that entered. He is survived his pet parents, Teresa and Patrick Fowler; sister, Kristy Algarin and brother-in-law, Victor, stationed in Williamsburg, VA; and a brother, Lucas (Emily) Fowler of Ely, IA.
