Cynthia L. Beaudette BLUE GRASS, Iowa -- Cynthia Louise Beaudette, 54, of Blue Grass, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013, at Genesis Medical Center West Central Park, Davenport following an extended battle with breast cancer. A Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2014, at the Community Fellowship Church, Blue Grass. Refreshments and food will be offered at 6:30pm. Memorial Visitation will be held from 4 until 6 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2014, at the church. Memorials may be made to the church. The rite of cremation has been accorded. The Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Cynthia was born on March 30, 1959, in Davenport, a daughter of Albert and Cecilia Doss Marolf. She was united in marriage to Joseph Anthony Beaudette in 1983. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the former Marycrest College, Davenport. She was a news desk reporter for the Muscatine Journal and the Mining Gazette in Michigan. She had also been a waitress at the Iowa 80 Kitchen, Walcott. Survivors include her children, Travis and Sean Beaudette, both of Blue Grass, Seth Beaudette and wife, Melissa, of Walcott, and Stephanie Beaudette of Huntington Beach, California; three grandchildren; siblings, Doug Marolf and wife, Christina, and Steve Marolf, all of Macon, Georgia, Bert Marolf of St. Louis, Missouri, Gerald Tague and wife, Kimberly, of Davenport, and Sarah Freeland and husband, Derick, Peoria, Illinois; and an aunt, Louise Marolf, Davenport. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Billy Marolf and Max Tague.
